Growing up in a small town in Middle Georgia helped to form my love for Georgia and its people. Last weekend, when our country was celebrating Independence Day, I went back to my hometown of Wrightsville to visit with my hometown friends. I was also able to share my passion for educating Georgia's children and bringing jobs back to our state.
When our Founding Fathers came together they did so because there are some things we do better as a whole: educating the public; providing efficient transportation; safeguarding natural resources; and providing safe, healthy communities. These are also the very factors that create economic growth and provide the jobs our citizens must have.
I hope this webisode of my Fourth of July in Wrightsville, to celebrate our Nation's birthday, gives you a glimpse into who I am as a person and a candidate.
